Queen vs. Voice Over

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to watch “Bohemian Rhapsody”. It was inspiring and daunting to see how the group had their ups and downs.

After the movie was done I started thinking about how everything in life has breath.

Our words.

The seasons of life.

Amazingly, the songs we play. Everything around us has breaths. How? Well, that’s the crazy part.

Sometimes we are torn apart, which is like suffocating in a plastic bag.

Often times, we eat with friends and family, which is the variant of us relaxing and breathing out.

The unfortunate part most of us face, is holding too much breath inside of us.

We’re stressed out by that next bill, or upset by a family member’s grudge.

However, if we simply take the time to breath we will remove the negative affects of this “lack” of breathing.

I know, you’re still wondering how this all ties in with voice over, and Queen.

Well, the ups and downs of life are like the in/out of our breathing.

Queen’s quick breath in, was their start and first success.

They held their breath, when Freddy Mercury took a plunge down the trail of self discovery.

Finally they breathed out a sigh of relief when the gang started the band up once again.

In voice over we breath in a LOT. But, sometimes we don’t follow through with the breathing out side of the process.

We get “stuck” holding our breath in. Some of us hold it so long, we start to turn Blue.

Meaning, we don’t give time for the listener to hear the story.

So, the next time you get a script, take a moment to breath before reading.

~ Just some random thoughts. 🙂
